About Aarati


 

Born in India, Aarati took great pride in being the eldest daughter in her family.

Aarti is very grateful to her mother, who in an unconscious yet powerful way influenced her senses, her palate and her judgments. Her mother is the one who gave her the precious gift of wisdom by reminding her that loving, living and eating are inseparable.

After marrying her husband, she moved to United States in 1977. While raising two sons and focusing her career in the medical field, her passion for cooking Indian dishes never staled. She started creating her own easiest recipes of Indian dishes by using herbs and spices.

    v     She was featured on the WQED cooking show with Chris   Fennimore for her own creation of "Masala shrimp in wine sauce"
